Our Vision

A pro-active body that is recognised and valued by the parents in the city for representing their views, at the highest level, and ensuring that they receive support in their role as

parents.

Our Purpose

Our purpose is to ensure that parents' voices are represented, when issues that matter to them are being raised at the decision making level of the city, specifically we want them to be confident that:

• Their issues about children's and young people's services are being raised
• Their views are represented
• They are being genuinely consulted

Our Mission

We will achieve our vision and purpose by:

• Actively develop and facilitate awareness of issues of importance to parents

• Helping parents to work with the procedures, so they can effectively have their say and be heard, at all decision making levels

• Involving and engaging parents in consultation.

• Networking into other parent groups across the city, communicating broadly with the diversity of families that inhabit the city
