I hate the school run in the morning. Every morning it is an obstacle course for us to run and it makes me sometimes wish we lived where we used to when we lived two minutes from the school.

There is a chip in my windscreen.

Harriet, (four years old) and I are out on a daddy-and-daughter date. She notices the chip.

So I'm sitting at home thinking that the time has come for me to take a day off.

I have found this summer holidays very trying (and tiring) and that is for two reasons

Last week Mrs B-D and I spent the day with our oldest at the new all-singing all-dancing Royal Alex.

"Stop eating your brothers brain and give it back to him……Right….Now!"

Oh dear. It finally happened this morning.

I guess that all parents think they know better,and wouldn't dream of making the same mistakes their parents did.
