Our 3rd Annual Autumn Free Funday!
The doors opened at 10 with a queue that didn't go away until well after 1pm. In total there were over 350 parents/carers and 650 children that came through the doors on Wednesday making it our biggest event yet!
The fun started straight away with piles of shoes and coats as the kids quickly went off to play leaving mums and dads to gather them up on their way to find a place to sit. We were filled to capacity within 45 minutes of the doors opening and would like to thank the brave souls that waited for up to an hour to get in.
There was a free drink for all the parents that took part in the parental consultation in the corner and we were blown away by the numbers of parents taking part. As promised the consultation was really simple. Fill out a card to answer one of three questions.
What makes Brighton and Hove a good place to bring up your family?
What children and family services are working well? And Why?
What children and family services need to change? And How?
Also, for this event we did our second children's consultation. None of us had a chance to observe one of the popular sessions, but by the smiles on kids faces when they left with their lovely decorated gingerbread biscuits we think they must have been fun.
Due to the amount of responses we received through both consultations, it will take a bit of time to bring it all together. So keep an eye on our news page, because we will give you a summary of what you and your children's responses were as soon as we can.
Over the next few days we will be adding photos of the event on to our website and our Facebook group so keep checking.
Lastly, we would like to Thank You All once again for attending and making this our biggest and best event yet!
