Kuen-Wah Cheung

I've been told that I am a rare breed, in that I am one of the few men
working in childcare. It might be something in my Chinese family
upbringing (or maybe just something in me!) but I can't think of that
much which so corresponds with my personality than to nurture and
entertain children, and enabling them to develop their skills and
confidence. Over the last eight years, I have worked as a youth worker,
playworker and nursery worker for Coalition 4 Youth, Hertford Junior
School and Cherry Tree Nursery at Hollingdean Children's Centre. It's
been a richly rewarding experience.

In
a separate sphere, I have also worked as a publicity and communications
officer for various teams such as the Brighton & Hove Community
Safety Team, Drug and Alcohol Action Team and the Hollingdean
Programme. As the editor of the Brighton & Hove Parents' Forum
website, I will ensure entertaining and informative articles are posted
regularly, enabling parents to get as much as they want from the site.
