CYPP consultation

The Children and Young People's Plan (CYPP) which covers the period 2006 - 2009 is coming to an end next year. The CYPT is presently working on the new plan that will cover the next three years. Consultation has started recently and now it is time for us parents to get involved.

See the item below for your first chance to get involved and have a good time as well.

Free family fun day

Funplex poster 08Funplex poster 08

It is that time again! You said you wanted more free citywide events and you said you wanted them during half-term. Well, We listened and this years 3rd Annual Brighton and Hove Parents' Forum Autumn Free Fun Day will hopefully deliver.

We are opening the doors on the Wednesday 29th October from 10:00 to 18:00 to all parents and their children of Brighton and Hove.

ADMISSION FREE!

As some of you know from past events we always host a parental consultation during our events to allow you to have your say and keep your kids occupied (not to mention the chats you can have over a coffee while they are playing). This year we are happy to say we are involved with the consultation for the CYPP and any of you that want to contribute to this important document can on the day. It won't take long and you might be surprised by how easy it is.

Remember you don't have to if you don't want to, but the more parents that give their opinions the better and more relevant this plan will be for all of us.

To find out more about this fun event click here and we can't wait to see you there.

My job - CYPT staff

You know what the CYPT is, but are you aware about all the things it does??? We do (now), but it took us a while. We have met and worked along side so many different members of staff in the CYPT that do amazing work for our families. The best way to highlight this is to start introducing some of the people that work in the different departments and services that we as parents may need one day.

This month we are starting with the lovely Ciara Baker.

Click here to find out more about her.

National Parents' Week 2008

A week???? About us? Aww isn't that lovely.

But Seriously, This week is about highlighting the important job that we do and celebrating the people that provide us with the services we need to do that job well.

To find out more about Parents' Week and what it is about click here.

**Most years we plan our Free Autumn event to happen during Parents' Week, but this year we went for half-term due to popular opinion, but please just consider our event part of it. What are a few extra days to celebrate what great parents we are going to matter?
